{ aloe vera }

The juice from aloe vera plants have beneficial properties that treat inflammatory and dry skin.  My grandmother grows these and I recently got a chance to use them for my own skin.  There has been a huge improvement over a week; my skin is super soft now.  To use, I cut a short piece of the plant and place it in a bowl.  From there and using a knife, I cut a thin layer of the piece enough so that the gel inside is fresh to use.  That is enough to apply on directly to my face.  At first, there is a tingly feeling but it moisturizes so well, I could leave it on overnight and forget about my other moisturizer.

It’s so refreshing to use, perfect for summertime facials.  They also have aloe vera juice to drink!  Have you tried any of those?

  2. I'm a great fan of Aloe Vera! I use Aloe Vera-based cleansers and toners from The Body Shop and they do wonders for my skin. I just wished I'd discovered the wonders of the plant sooner! Haha.

    I also buy Aloe Vera drinks from time to time from my local oriental supermarket. They're delicious!
